I Love Them Like They're Mine

I seriously have THE BEST son/daughter-in-laws!  Each one is the perfect match for my child, and each one adds SO much to our family group.  I'm so impressed by my children's ability to choose so well.  Over the years, I've had experiences similar to the one I'll describe below, about each of these special people in my life, but sadly, I didn't take the opportunity to write them down.  This time I'm writing - and I hope that with this experience, each of my precious added children will know how much I love and appreciate them.  I truly love them like they're my own!

Lexie reserved a time, in honor of Valentine's Day, for her and Josh to do sealings at the Temple, and she invited any of the family to join them.  She brought quite a few of her family names to be sealed for - and they were close in her line.  One was the sealing of her great, great grandparents; and then the sealing to them of their daughter - Lexie's great grandmother.  I had such a sweet experience as I sat in the sealing room and looked on as Josh and Lexie knelt at the altar to perform this important ordinance.  Lexie was emotional, and Josh reached up with his left hand and tenderly wiped the tears from her face.  At that moment, I had such an overwhelming feeling of love for Lexie.  I was filled with gratitude for her goodness!  I love her faithfulness to the Lord.  I love her desire to serve others.  She's always so cheerful as she serves the members of our family and others.  I love her devotion to Josh and her sweet nurturing of Isaac.  Being the last of 7 in-laws to join our crazy family might have been intimidating for some, but not for our Lexie.  She slipped right into life as a Brown like she had been part of us forever.  She is the PERFECT fit.  I seriously can't even imagine a person or a personality that would have been better.  That day in the Temple, I was filled to overflowing with love for Lexie  - and for Josh.  How in the world was my little boy able to find and pick THE PERFECT person for him and for us?  Thank you, Josh, for such a precious gift!
